Human Resource Specialist

Minimum Qulifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or related field; must be proficient with Microsoft Excel, Access and Power Point; knowledge of web-based software is beneficial; able to navigate the Internet confidently.
 
Duties/Responsibilities: Coordinates and implements safety programs across the agency. Trains, monitors and assists with ongoing safety regulations across the agency. Provides advice, assists and follows up on company policies, procedures and documentations. Coordinates the resolution of specific policy-related and procedural problems and inquiries. Serves as liaison between BWC, injured worker and comp. management entities, monitors unemployment and worker compensation programs
 
Assists the Human Resources Team in planning, directing and coordinating the Board’s personnel program. Performs related administrative, public relation, documentation and miscellaneous tasks. Attends meetings to provide and obtain Human Resource information. Maintains Human Resources data bases including Kronos and Munis software systems and manual filing systems
 
Designs and conducts new employee orientations. Processes, updates and follows up on certification requirements with various licensing entities in Ohio. Assists with ensuring that the Board complies with all applicable employment laws and personnel policies
 
Performs other related duties as assigned
